Hokkaido Beginner Ski Tour: 6 or 7 Days | Departing from Chitose

Tour Overview

Departing from Chitose, this tour combines Sapporo sightseeing, beginner skiing experiences and a stay at a hot spring hotel in Lake Toya, with a choice of 6 or 7 days. Both options share the first four days; the 6-day tour offers a choice of Lake Toya sightseeing or Rusutsu skiing on Day 5, while the 7-day tour includes Rusutsu skiing followed by Lake Toya sightseeing, with both options ending in an airport drop-off from Lake Toya to Chitose on the final day.

Day 1 | Chitose → Sapporo

Travel from Chitose to Sapporo and check in at your hotel.

Accommodation: Hotel in Sapporo.

Day 2 | Sapporo City Sightseeing

Visit Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Factory, Hokkaido Shrine and Sapporo Beer Garden, in that order. Then continue to the outdoor gear stores at Sapporo Factory.

Day 3 | Sapporo Teine or Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort

Visit either Sapporo Teine or Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort for a skiing experience at one of these two resorts. Beginners and first-time skiers are encouraged to learn with a ski instructor.

Day 4 | Sapporo → Niseko → Lake Toya

Travel from Sapporo to Niseko for skiing. Afterwards, continue to Lake Toya and check in at a hot spring hotel.

Accommodation: Hot spring hotel in Lake Toya.

Day 5 | Choice of Activities for the 6-Day Tour / Rusutsu Skiing for the 7-Day Tour

6-day tour: Choose one of two itineraries. Visit Lake Toya Observation Deck, followed by snowmobiling and a visit to the Bear Ranch; alternatively, choose skiing at Rusutsu Resort.

7-day tour: Visit Rusutsu Resort for skiing.

Day 6 | Airport Drop-off for the 6-Day Tour / Lake Toya Sightseeing for the 7-Day Tour

6-day tour: Travel from Lake Toya to Chitose for your airport drop-off, concluding the tour.

7-day tour: Take in the views from Lake Toya Observation Deck, followed by snowmobiling and a visit to the Bear Ranch.

Day 7 | Lake Toya → Chitose (7-Day Tour Only)

Travel from Lake Toya to Chitose for your airport drop-off, concluding the 7-day tour.
